Hourglass Time Passing Animation

This week I sold my very first Synfig animation, and that simple fact made me very happy. I also made the happy dance.   Not that it is a great work of art, rather it is a simple whimsical hourglass. But well, I love hourglasses, animation, and colors, so here it is and it worked out for someone too! So incorporate in your life little things that you like and not just what is expected from you and you create more happyness for sure, for you and others! This is a still, but if you follow the link, you can see it moving. Esta semana vendi a minha primeira animação criada com o Synfig, e este simples facto fez com que me sentisse muito feliz. Até fiz a dança da felicidade. Não que seja uma grande obra de arte, é simplesmente uma ampulheta alegre. Mas eu adoro ampulhetas, animação e cores, por isso aqui está, e também serviu para alguém. Por isso, faz coisas na vida que também gostas, não apenas aquilo que é esperado de ti, e certamente que criarás mais felicidade...

Studying the database and file age

When we are starters at micro stock, one of the things we must do to learn more about stock image industry is to study the database to see what is uploaded, what sells better, what are the current trends and so on. This cannot be achieved in one day or a week, it is more a continuous work we all must do while we are shooting, editing, drawing, uploading, keywording and doing all other necessary work. One of the errors I have made when I started was to assume that images with some or many sales were the best ones in the database and draw some (wrong) conclusions of it. Althought most of those images have proven their value, there was one point I have missed: their age on the database. An old image has more chances of being sold more times because back then there was less competition and, for that reason, a less quality image would have more chances of being sold. So, I have decided to compile a rough "age on the database" table for the files based on their ID number, at least...
